Eternal Love: Deceased Husband Continues Valentine's Day Tradition For Wife

In a heartwarming tale of eternal love, Diana Maver from Danville, California, continues to receive a special Valentine’s Day surprise from her late husband, John Maver, year after year.

The love story of Diana and John began in high school when they were both 16. Their journey led to marriage, three children, and 47 years of cherished moments together until John’s passing in October 2017.

Despite his physical absence, the tradition of expressing love on Valentine’s Day persisted. Four months after John’s death in 2018, Diana received the first bouquet of red roses and white lilies, symbolizing their enduring love.

“Through some inexplicable magic at work in his world,” shared Marilee Heard, the couple’s daughter, “every year, a bouquet of flowers arrives at her doorstep from my dad, continuing their romantic connection beyond life.”

Accompanying the floral arrangement is a touching card with the poignant message, “I have but one heart and that is you. You will always be my Valentine,” embodying the unwavering devotion John held for Diana.

As Valentine’s Day 2024 approaches, the now 77-year-old Diana eagerly anticipates the arrival of her annual gift from her forever Valentine, a reminder that true love transcends boundaries of time and space.

Marilee Heard emphasized the enduring power of love, stating, “True love exists. Love can exist through life and through death. My dad is the ultimate romantic guy, showcasing the timeless nature of their connection.”
