Fraggle Rock Live Tour Kicks Off with North American Adventure
GLENDORA, Calif. — The beloved Fraggle Rock characters are hitting the road for their first-ever live stage tour, titled “Jim Henson‘s Fraggle Rock: Back To The Rock LIVE.” The show, based on the Apple TV+ series, premiered on January 18, 2025, in Glendora, California, and will visit 48 cities across North America.
The live production follows Gobo, Red, Mokey, Wembley, and Boober Fraggle as they embark on a quest to find the legendary Celebration Stone, a mythical treasure said to unite everyone for the ultimate celebration. The stone was shattered and lost generations ago, and the Fraggles must work together to uncover its pieces while exploring new caves and discovering magical surprises.
The show promises immersive special effects, audience interaction, and a mix of humor and heartwarming moments. It is designed to appeal to both families with young children and longtime fans of the original 1980s series. “This is a historic moment for the Jim Henson Company,” said a spokesperson. “It’s the first time the Fraggles and Doozers have come to life on stage in such a dynamic way.”
The North American tour includes stops in major cities such as Las Vegas, Austin, Indianapolis, Ottawa, Akron, and Tampa. Tickets are now available for purchase online, with dates running through late 2025.
Fraggle Rock, created by Jim Henson, first aired in 1983 and became a cultural phenomenon, known for its catchy theme song and themes of friendship and adventure. The recent Apple TV+ revival has introduced the characters to a new generation, making the live tour a timely celebration of the franchise’s enduring legacy.
Fans of the series expressed excitement about the tour. “Fraggle Rock was a huge part of my childhood,” said one attendee at the Glendora premiere. “Seeing these characters come to life on stage is like reliving those memories all over again.”
