Hidden Cameras Found in Ocean City Restrooms Spark Outrage

OCEAN CITY, N.J. – Investigators are looking into disturbing reports of hidden cameras found in multiple public restrooms in Cape May County. The alarming discovery began when a woman discovered a camera while using a family bathroom.
Fallon Conway, who was at the restroom located at 6th and Boardwalk with her friend and her friend’s three-year-old, shared her shocking experience. ‘I glanced down and noticed something sticking out from behind the trashcan,’ Conway explained. She picked up the device, identifying it as an undercover pen video camera. ‘It was directed right toward the toilet, and we had been in there for about five minutes before we noticed it.’
After finding the camera, Conway alerted the police, who removed the device. Following this, detectives discovered additional cameras in other public restrooms along the boardwalk.
Visitors to Ocean City expressed their outrage. ‘I think it’s crazy. It’s disgusting that people come down here with their families and have to deal with things like that,’ said John Ruggiano. Carrie Pinot added, ‘To me, it’s an invasion of privacy. It shouldn’t be happening.’
Conway also voiced her concerns about the potential for images of her to be circulated. ‘To know that I am definitely recorded somewhere, potentially, on the dark web – it’s really scary.’
Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage from outside the public restrooms to identify the person or people responsible for placing the devices. Meanwhile, officials advise everyone to remain vigilant when using public facilities.
