KGW News at Sunrise Expands Broadcast to Add Extra Hour

PORTLAND, Ore. — KGW News at Sunrise is set to enhance its programming by adding an extra hour to its morning broadcast starting Monday, May 5. The new hour will air at 7 a.m. and will be available exclusively on KGW+ TV.
This decision aims to give viewers more of what they love about the popular morning show, including timely news updates, weather forecasts, and traffic reports. Anchors Drew Carney and Chynna Greene will continue to lead the coverage, joined by meteorologist Rod Hill and traffic reporter Chris McGinness.
By extending its broadcast, KGW hopes to provide the local news coverage that viewers rely on to start their day. The KGW+ TV app, available for free on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and Apple TV, will showcase this additional hour as part of its offerings.
Upon opening the KGW+ TV app, users can access a 24/7 stream featuring all KGW newscasts and breaking news coverage, along with replays of past shows. The app will also include content from various KGW segments such as KGW Investigates, The Story, and Straight Talk.
For mobile access, viewers will need to download the KGW app to stream programming on their phones.
