Mark Cuban Criticizes Trump for Avoiding Strong, Intelligent Women
Mark Cuban, the billionaire owner of the Dallas Mavericks and a well-known figure on the TV show “Shark Tank,” made a contentious statement about former President Donald Trump during an appearance on “The View” on Thursday.
Cuban asserted that Trump is never seen around “strong, intelligent women,” suggesting that such individuals are intimidating to him. “Donald Trump, you never see him around strong, intelligent women. Ever. It’s just that simple. They’re intimidating to him. He doesn’t like to be challenged by them,” Cuban said.
This comment was made in the context of discussing Trump’s relationship with potential voters, particularly those who might support Nikki Haley, a figure Cuban described as a strong and intelligent woman. Cuban, who is a campaign surrogate for Vice President Kamala Harris, implied that Trump avoids women like Haley because they would challenge him, especially on issues such as reproductive rights.
The hosts of “The View” attempted to clarify Cuban’s remarks, with Joy Behar mentioning Stormy Daniels as an example of a smart woman, despite Trump’s denials of any affair with her. Alyssa Farah Griffin and Whoopi Goldberg also chimed in to provide context to Cuban’s statement.
Cuban’s critique of Trump is not new; he has previously expressed dissatisfaction with Trump’s policies and behavior. Despite initially supporting Trump, Cuban has since distanced himself, citing Trump’s lack of interest in learning about actual policy.
