Niger Tornadoes Secure Crucial Victory Over Lobi Stars Despite Tough Encounter

Niger Tornadoes head coach, Majin Mohammed, acknowledged the challenges in his team’s hard-fought win against Lobi Stars, emphasizing the importance of securing maximum points at this crucial stage of the season.

The clash, held at the historic Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna, saw Niger Tornadoes emerge victorious with a 3-2 result over Lobi Stars.

Clinton Jephta, Bashir Usman, and Chidebere Ernest each found the back of the net for the hosts in a thrilling encounter.

Reflecting on the match, Mohammed remarked, “Well, it was a difficult game, but the most important thing is the three points and we thank God for that.”

“Derby games are always not easy, especially playing a team like Lobi Stars, who have experienced players, as you can see when we score and think it’s over they get back in the game but in the end, we got the points that matters,” he added.

Niger Tornadoes currently hold the 12th position on the table, amassing 48 points from 35 games in the ongoing season.
