MK Party Denies ANC Involvement in Leadership Troubles as Zuma’s Daughter Speaks Out
ANC acting spokesperson Zuko Godlimpi has refuted claims by Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla, a member of the MK Party (MKP), suggesting that the ANC is meddling in the party’s internal affairs and seeking to seize control.
Zuma-Sambudla accused the ANC of orchestrating the criticism she faces within MKP, alleging that the party is attempting to infiltrate and manipulate power dynamics within MKP.
She pointed to an article by Sunday World that insinuated she was causing division within the party’s veterans’ association, shifting the blame towards the ANC.
Speaking to TimesLIVE, Godlimpi dismissed these allegations, stating that the ANC is focused on governance and holds no interest in the internal affairs of other parties.
Reports have surfaced suggesting Zuma-Sambudla exerts significant influence within the MKP, with claims of her role in the departure of some party leaders.
Zuma-Sambudla, who has been a close ally to her father Jacob Zuma, refuted these claims, denouncing attempts to drive a wedge between her and the former president.
Allegations have also been made against Zuma-Sambudla, with a party founder accusing her of engineering his removal from leadership and forging his signature on official documents.
In a court application for reinstatement, Zuma-Sambudla was accused of fraudulently submitting a resignation letter to the Electoral Commission of South Africa using the founder’s signature.
