Pokémon TCG Pocket Unveils Extradimensional Crisis Expansion with Ultra Beasts

REDMOND, Wash. — The Pokémon Company has announced that the Extradimensional Crisis expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket will launch on May 29, 2025. This exciting update will introduce over 100 new cards, including powerful Ultra Beasts such as Buzzwole and Guzzlord.

The Extradimensional Crisis expansion aims to integrate Ultra Beasts into gameplay, allowing players to create new deck strategies. According to a press release, these cards will act similarly to regular Pokémon cards, but some will have unique synergies with each other.

“This expansion adds a layer of strategy that players will find exciting,” said a spokesperson for The Pokémon Company. “Ultra Beasts offer new styles of play and combinations that will change the way players approach the game.”

Players can look forward to the release of the Extradimensional Crisis booster pack at 2:00 a.m. EDT on May 30. Some of the highly anticipated cards include Ultra Necrozma ex and Type: Null, among others.

In addition to unveiling new cards, The Pokémon Company plans to host special missions and solo battles during June. Events will reward players with promo cards and in-game items related to the Ultra Beasts and the Extradimensional Crisis theme.

“These events will provide players with unique opportunities to engage with the new content and earn exclusive rewards,” the spokesperson added.
