David Bowie And Queen's 'under Pressure' Re Enters Billboard Charts

David Bowie and Queen‘s iconic collaboration ‘Under Pressure‘ has made a return to the Billboard charts, reaffirming their enduring popularity among music lovers. The track reappeared on two charts this week, capitalizing on the decline of holiday songs after the festive season.

First, ‘Under Pressure’ secured the last spot, No. 10, on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart. The chart ranks the bestselling hard rock tracks in the U.S. This isn’t the first time the song has graced this chart, having previously claimed the top position.

Simultaneously, ‘Under Pressure’ also reappeared on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart, landing at No. 19. This chart looks at the streaming performance of tracks in the hard rock genre on platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music. The song had previously climbed as high as No. 9 on this particular chart.

Bowie and Queen’s resurgence on the Billboard charts follows a wave of holiday songs that dominated the rankings over the past month. With the holiday season now over, non-Christmas classics like ‘Under Pressure’ have found space on the charts once again. In the previous week, the Trans Siberian Orchestra’s ‘Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24)’ ruled both the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales and Hard Rock Streaming Songs charts.

Originally released in 1981, ‘Under Pressure’ became a massive hit for both Bowie and Queen. The track reached No. 1 in the U.K., their home country. In the U.S., however, it initially peaked at No. 29 on the Hot 100. Over the decades since its release, the song has become a hallmark of both artists’ careers.
