Ajayi And Diangana Progress To Afcon Semi Finals

Semi Ajayi and Grady Diangana will both look forward to AFCON semi-finals after their respective nations made it through last-eight clashes on Friday night.

Ajayi completed another 90 minutes for Nigeria who earned a 1-0 triumph over Angola. Lookman scored the contest’s only goal in the 41st minute.

Diangana was an unused substitute for DR Congo in their 3-1 victory against Guinea. Bayo put Guinea in front, however efforts from Mbemba, Wissa (penalty), and Masuaku swung the game in Grady’s nation’s favour, propelling them into their first semi-final since 2015.

Nigeria will meet the winners of Cape Verde and South Africa on Wednesday at 5pm, with DR Congo coming up against the victors of hosts Ivory Coast and Mali three hours later at 8pm.

Congratulations, gents!
