NSW Blues back-rower Angus Crichton has claimed the coveted Wally Lewis Medal for his exceptional performance throughout the State of Origin series, showcasing his prowess both on the field with the Roosters and in the representative arena.

Crichton’s outstanding form in the 2024 NRL season seamlessly transitioned into the Origin matches, aiding the Blues to a 2-1 series victory following a tough start in Game One held in Sydney.

The dynamic edge back-rower consistently posed a threat to the Maroons on the left edge, displaying an average of 160 running metres across the three games, contributing significantly to the Blues’ triumph.

“I’d like to express my gratitude to all the coaches who instilled their faith in us and provided us with the opportunity to showcase our abilities and achieve something extraordinary,” stated Crichton in his acceptance speech.

He continued, “This team is truly special, and I am immensely joyful about our collective success.”
