Arch Manning Red Bull Nil Deal Football Field

AUSTIN, Texas — Arch Manning, the highly touted quarterback for the Texas Longhorns, has signed a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deal with Red Bull, the energy drink company announced. The deal comes as Manning is expected to take over as the Longhorns’ starting quarterback in the 2025 season following Quinn Ewers‘ departure to the NFL draft.

Manning, the nation’s top recruit in the class of 2023, redshirted his freshman season and served as Ewers’ primary backup during the 2023 campaign. The redshirt sophomore is the grandson of Archie Manning, a College Football Hall of Famer and former No. 2 NFL draft pick. Archie Manning once remarked that his grandson would not sign an NIL deal until he became a starting quarterback, a milestone that now appears imminent.

Red Bull announced the partnership in an Instagram post, captioning a video of Manning throwing a football with, “target locked, wiiings secured @archmanning.” The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Manning’s NIL valuation is estimated at $6.6 million, the highest among collegiate athletes, according to On3. Duke freshman basketball player Cooper Flagg, projected as the top pick in the 2025 NBA draft, ranks second at $4.3 million.

During the 2023 season, Manning threw for 939 yards, nine touchdowns, and two interceptions in limited action, starting two games and appearing in relief in others. He also rushed for 108 yards and four touchdowns on 25 carries. His performance has fueled optimism among Longhorn fans, who are eager to see him lead the team in the upcoming season.

Manning’s NIL deal with Red Bull marks another significant step in his burgeoning career, as he prepares to take the reins of one of college football’s most storied programs.
