Arsenal Legend Keown Worried About Centre Backs Ahead Of Clash With Bayern Munich

Arsenal legend Martin Keown has raised concerns about the club’s center-backs as they prepare to face Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final.

Keown expressed his apprehension over the defensive capabilities of Arsenal’s current center-back partnership of William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes, despite being considered one of the strongest in Europe.

The former England international highlighted Bayern Munich’s striker, Harry Kane, who has been in exceptional form, scoring 37 goals across all competitions this season. Kane, with a history of troubling Arsenal defenses during his time at Tottenham Hotspur, presents a significant threat.

Arsenal’s recent clean sheet against FC Porto, although impressive, showcased moments of vulnerability from the defensive duo of Saliba and Magalhaes, raising further doubts ahead of the crucial Champions League tie.

In a recent interview with the BBC, Keown emphasized the need for Arsenal to remain cautious against Kane, who he believes might relish the opportunity to exploit any defensive lapses.

Reflecting on Arsenal’s return to the Champions League quarter-finals, Keown acknowledged the remarkable turnaround for the club but urged for respect towards Kane’s goal-scoring prowess and current form.
