Background Actor Files Lawsuit Against Mia Goth For Battery And Wrongful Termination

A background actor has recently filed a lawsuit against British actress Mia Goth, accusing her of battery and involvement in his wrongful termination. Mia Goth, known for her role in the film Infinity Pool, is now facing legal action along with director Ti West and production studio A24.

The lawsuit, which was obtained by People magazine from court documents, reveals that the background actor named James Hunter had been contracted for a three-day period in April to portray a character called ‘Dad Parishioner’ in A24’s upcoming horror film. The movie revolves around a girl who survived a massacre.

In his complaint, Hunter alleges that during one of the scenes, he was instructed to lie in the dirt for several hours while ants and mosquitoes surrounded him. As the scene unfolded, Mia Goth ran past him on the ground, and in the fourth take, she came dangerously close to stepping on him. Hunter claims that he immediately reported the incident to the second assistant director, who warned Goth to be cautious in her steps.

However, in the following take, Hunter asserts that Goth intentionally kicked him in the head with her foot. As a result, he experienced a headache and stiffness in his neck, which he promptly reported to the second assistant director. The information was then conveyed to both Goth and West. Hunter also points out the lack of any medical assistance provided on set, as filming continued until the scene was completed.

In addition to the physical altercation, Hunter alleges that Goth invaded his privacy in the set bathroom, where she laughed, taunted, mocked, and belittled him. She even dared him to do something about it. These reported actions have further contributed to Hunter’s claims of battery and wrongful termination.

The next day, Hunter received an email from a casting agency informing him that he had been removed from the remaining two days of production and banned from the movie set, without any explanation provided.

In his lawsuit, Hunter seeks $250,000 in compensation for medical expenses, rehabilitation, and related costs. He also requests punitive and/or exemplary damages.

This incident involving Mia Goth highlights the importance of ensuring a safe and respectful working environment for all individuals involved in the entertainment industry.
