Bad Bunny Inspires Future Entrepreneurs at Florida International University
Florida International University (FIU) had a special guest on campus this week as the renowned Puerto Rican pop star, Bad Bunny, joined a hospitality seminar at the invitation of entrepreneur David Grutman. The Grammy Award-winning artist was greeted with excitement as he entered the FIU classroom on Thursday, where students showed their enthusiasm with cheers and applause. Bad Bunny wasted no time in sharing his wisdom and inspiring the young minds of the future of hospitality.
Speaking in Spanish, Bad Bunny emphasized the importance of passion in all that he does. He relayed to the students that his music and business ventures are driven by his heartfelt commitment to his craft. “Everything I do, I do it with my heart,” he stated. His journey in music led him to explore other income streams and ultimately create a successful business.
This is not the first collaboration between Bad Bunny and David Grutman. In August 2022, they partnered to launch Gekkō, a Japanese-inspired steakhouse in Miami. Grutman, who is not only a restaurateur but also a professor at FIU’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, initiated The David Grutman Experience: The Class. Through this program, students have the opportunity to gain advice and inspiration from renowned stars in the industry.
With an impressive lineup of guest speakers, including Drake, Jason Momoa, and Rick Ross, The David Grutman Experience allows students to learn from the experiences and insights of these accomplished figures. Bad Bunny’s appearance in the class undoubtedly left a lasting impact on the aspiring entrepreneurs at FIU.
Florida International University continues to provide its students with unique opportunities to learn from industry leaders and luminaries. The campus has become a hub for innovation, creativity, and collaboration in various fields, including hospitality and entertainment.
