GLENDALE, Arizona – Teven Jenkins, a free agent guard formerly with the Chicago Bears, is scheduled to meet with the Seattle Seahawks on Monday as he explores new opportunities in the NFL.

Jenkins, who started 14 games last season, has become one of the most sought-after free agents on the market. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, both the New York Giants and the Seahawks are in the running for his services after the Bears released him following four seasons.

After being drafted in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Jenkins established himself as a key player on the Bears’ offensive line, earning a Pro Football Focus (PFF) grade of 72.6 or higher in each of the past three seasons. He played 738 snaps at right guard last season, demonstrating his durability and skill on the field.

The Seahawks are particularly interested in Jenkins as they look to bolster their offensive line following the release of veteran guard Alex Cappa. As they continue to reshape their roster, Jenkins presents a valuable option due to his experience and performance.

“It’s an exciting time for me, and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to meet with Seattle,” Jenkins said in a recent interview. “I’m eager to find a place where I can contribute and continue to grow as a player.”

Seattle’s interest in Jenkins highlights their commitment to improving their offensive line, which has been a focal point in recent seasons. The team aims to establish a solid foundation for their quarterback moving forward.

As the free agency period unfolds, Jenkins’s decision could significantly impact the dynamics of the Seahawks’ offensive strategy. Fans and analysts alike are keen to see where he lands and how it affects his career and the respective teams.
