Beloved Tiktok Chef 'cooking With Lynja' Passes Away

Lynn Davis, widely known as Lynja, a popular TikTok chef, has tragically passed away, leaving behind a remarkable legacy.

With her entertaining and unique cooking videos, Lynja captured the hearts of over 17 million TikTok followers, as well as millions on YouTube and Instagram.

In a video announcement, Lynja’s youngest son and video editor, Tim Davis, shared the sad news of her passing. He mentioned that her final moments were peaceful, surrounded by loved ones.

At the age of 67, Lynn Davis lost her battle with esophageal cancer, a diagnosis she had bravely shared with her followers in 2021. Prior to that, in 2019, she had also been diagnosed with throat cancer, which affected her voice.

Even after her passing, new videos were uploaded to Lynja’s TikTok page, leaving fans unaware of her demise. This was done as per her request, so her content could continue to be enjoyed.

Lynja, together with her son Tim, started creating TikTok videos during the Covid-19 lockdowns in 2020. Her talent and charm earned her two Streamy Awards in 2022 for best food creator and best editing.

Beyond her passion for cooking, Lynja adored traveling, running marathons, and had a great love for animals. She leaves behind a loving family, including her husband Keith Davis, children Tim and Sean Davis, daughters Hannah Mariko Shofet and Becky Steinberg, two grandchildren, and her siblings Jay Yamada and Karen Dolce Yamada, as reported by The New York Times.
