FIVE standout members of the GB Boxing team have emerged victorious in the semi-finals of the prestigious World Boxing Cup: International Invitational held in Colorado, America. This exceptional display has propelled Charley Davison, Owain Harris-Allan, Elise Glynn, Patris Mughalzai, and Gemma Richardson into the final bouts, guaranteeing them at least a silver medal.

Among the highlights was Charley Davison, a dedicated mother of three and soon-to-be two-time Olympian, securing her spot in the bantamweight final by triumphing over China‘s formidable Chang Yuan in a split decision.

Owain Harris-Allan of Wales and Elise Glynn of England showcased their dominance in the featherweight category, both securing unanimous victories in their respective bouts against tough opponents.

There was a thrilling encounter at light-welterweight as Patris Mughalzai outmatched his teammate Reese Lynch, winning unanimously to advance to the final where he will face off against USA’s Dedrick Crocklem.

Gemma Richardson also shone in the lightweight division with a split decision victory over USA’s Lisa Greer, setting up a final showdown against China’s Yang Wenlu.

The upcoming finals promise intense matchups, including Davison facing off against Canada’s Scarlett Delgado, Harris-Allan in a rematch with Brazil‘s Luiz Oliviera, Glynn taking on Brazil’s Jucielen Romeu, Mughalzai against USA’s Crocklem, and Richardson battling against China’s Wenlu.
