Carlos Alcaraz Roland Garros Match

PARIS, France — Carlos Alcaraz will face Damir Džumhur this Friday night at Roland-Garros. The reigning champion returns to Philippe-Chatrier for a third-round match against the experienced yet unseeded Džumhur.

The match is set for May 30, 2025, and marks their first official encounter on the ATP circuit. Alcaraz, the world number two, is in stellar form, having won the Masters 1000 titles in Monte-Carlo and Rome earlier this season. In the first two rounds of Roland-Garros, he defeated Giulio Zeppieri in straight sets and Fabian Marozsan in four sets.

Džumhur, currently ranked 69th in the world, has reached the third round at Roland-Garros for the first time since 2018. He progressed to this stage by eliminating Thiago Agustín Tirante and French player Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in earlier rounds. Džumhur, a former world number 23, showed a significant comeback in 2024, picking up several titles on the Challenger circuit.

The match between Alcaraz and Džumhur will be broadcast exclusively on Prime Video, starting at 8:15 PM local time. Prime Video has been airing the evening sessions of Roland-Garros for several editions, offering 11 night sessions this year, including two quarter-finals. The service is available through a 30-day free trial, after which subscription costs €6.99 per month.

As a note, the broadcast will include highlights and player interviews through the Prime Video app, providing comprehensive access to the tournament’s coverage.

Following his match against Džumhur, Alcaraz is expected to face Ben Shelton on Sunday for a spot in the quarter-finals.
