Cavs and Pacers Clash in Game 2 of Eastern Semifinals Tonight

CLEVELAND, OH — The Cleveland Cavaliers will attempt to even their series against the Indiana Pacers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals on Tuesday, May 6, at 7 p.m. ET at Rocket Arena.
Currently, the Pacers lead the series 1-0 after a thrilling Game 1, where they defeated the Cavs 121-112 on May 4.
Indiana’s impressive performance highlighted their powerful transition offense, leading them to shoot 53% from the field and 52.8% from three-point range during the game. Andrew Nembhard and Tyrese Haliburton spearheaded the attack, contributing 23 and 22 points, respectively.
The Cavaliers struggled to defend the Pacers’ shooting, with All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell scoring a game-high 33 points. However, the overall team effort fell short, with the Cavs making only 23.7% of their three-point attempts.
Cavs coach Kenny Atkinson expressed concern about the team’s defensive performance following their loss. “We need to tighten our defense and limit their open shots,” he said.
As both teams prepare for Game 2, the Cavaliers aim to bounce back and even the series. They have a strong postseason record against the Pacers, holding a 9-6 record in playoff matchups. However, the Pacers pose a significant challenge.
This high-stakes game is set to draw significant viewership on TNT and is viewed as a pivotal moment in the series.
