Chelsea FC are reportedly considering a surprise move to secure the services of highly-rated forward Karim Adeyemi in the upcoming transfer window, signaling a new era under manager Thomas Tuchel.

Following the departure of Mauricio Pochettino, Tuchel has been actively reshaping his squad, with the recent capture of a Leicester City player as the first major signing for the Blues.

According to Sport Bild journalist X, Chelsea have initiated talks with the 22-year-old German international, who has emerged as a top target for the Premier League giants.

The report suggests that negotiations between Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund, Adeyemi’s current club, are on the agenda, amidst interest from Italian clubs like Roma.

Adeyemi made a name for himself at RB Salzburg in Austria, where he excelled with 27 goals in 68 league appearances and helped secure three consecutive Austrian doubles before his move to Dortmund in 2022.

The young striker, who won the Bundesliga Rookie of the Year award in his debut season, has had a decent spell with the Black and Yellows, contributing 14 goals and 8 assists across various competitions.

With Dortmund reportedly valuing Adeyemi at around £25m and his contract running until 2027, Chelsea face competition in their pursuit of the talented forward, who is being looked at to bolster their attacking options.
