ESPN+ is currently offering a limited-time deal for new subscribers, allowing them to save $20 on an annual plan. For a short period, users can get a full year of ESPN+ streaming for the price of just nine months, which typically costs $120 annually.

In other news, ESPN+ recently faced a significant drop in viewership for its exclusive Monday Night Football (MNF) game. The game, featuring the Arizona Cardinals hosting the Los Angeles Chargers, drew fewer than 2 million average viewers, marking the lowest officially reported audience for an NFL game since 2008. This game was part of ESPN’s contract with the NFL to air one streaming-exclusive game on ESPN+ each season, but the low viewership has raised concerns about the strategy.

The MNF schedule continues with exciting matchups, including the upcoming Week 8 game between the New York Giants and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Fans can watch the game on various ESPN platforms, including ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN+, with coverage starting at 6 p.m. ET for Monday Night Countdown and the game itself kicking off at 8:15 p.m. ET.

Despite the viewership challenges, ESPN+ maintains a substantial subscriber base, with nearly 25 million subscribers as of May. However, the low viewership for the exclusive MNF game highlights the ongoing struggle for ESPN+ to capitalize on its NFL content to attract and retain subscribers.
