Firpo Defeats Platense in Dramatic Comeback, Ending 14-Match Winless Streak

In a dramatic match, Firpo defeated Platense with a 2-1 victory, ending the latter’s hope of achieving their first tournament win after a 14-match winless streak. The match, which was a rescheduled fixture from day 12 due to inclement weather, saw Firpo secure second place in the standings with 26 points, while Platense remained at the bottom with only 5 points.

Firpo, known as “the bulls,” controlled the early stages of the match with their superior rhythm and ball possession. Platense, referred to as “the roosters,” focused on maintaining a strong defensive setup while attempting sporadic counterattacks.
