Damian Lillard Milwaukee Bucks Game Action

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Grizzlies will host the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday in a highly anticipated rematch, following their Halloween victory over the Eastern Conference contenders. The Grizzlies, boasting a 32-16 record, are tied for second place in the Western Conference and are eyeing the No. 1 seed. Meanwhile, the Bucks, sitting fifth in the East with a 26-20 record, are led by star point guard Damian Lillard, who is averaging 25.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 7.3 assists this season.

Lillard, who has been dealing with groin soreness, was listed as a game-time decision but has been cleared to play, according to Eric Nehm of The Athletic. The guard has been instrumental for the Bucks, leading the team in assists and steals while ranking second in scoring behind Giannis Antetokounmpo. Lillard has averaged 27.0 points, 8.4 assists, and 6.2 rebounds over his last five games, playing 38.4 minutes per contest.

The Grizzlies are coming off a comeback win against the Houston Rockets earlier in the week and are looking to secure their second straight victory. A win against the Bucks would be a significant boost for head coach Taylor Jenkins and his squad as they push for playoff positioning. The Bucks, however, will rely heavily on Lillard’s availability and performance to counter Memphis’ momentum.

In their last meeting on Halloween, the Grizzlies emerged victorious, and Sunday’s game promises to be another intense battle. With Lillard cleared to play, the Bucks hope to avenge their earlier loss and continue their climb in the Eastern Conference standings.
