Haliburton’s Stellar Play Leads Pacers Past Knicks in Game 4 Victory

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Tyrese Haliburton delivered a historic performance on May 28, 2025, leading the Indiana Pacers to a 130-121 victory over the New York Knicks in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals. This win gives the Pacers a 3-1 series lead, putting them one game away from the NBA Finals.
Haliburton shone brightly in this playoff game, recording 32 points, 12 rebounds, 15 assists, and 4 steals, without committing a single turnover. His impressive play came at a crucial moment, as he helped the Pacers come back from a 15-point deficit in the fourth quarter. With this performance, he joined LeBron James as the only players in playoff history to tally 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists in any quarter.
“It was a special night for a special player,” said Pacers coach Rick Carlisle after the game. Haliburton accounted for over half of the team’s points and made a significant impact on assists and rebounds. This dazzling stat line is unprecedented, making him the first player ever to achieve at least 15 assists, 12 rebounds, 4 steals, and 0 turnovers in an NBA game.
Bennedict Mathurin also contributed significantly off the bench, scoring 20 points, 12 of which came during crucial scoring runs. Pascal Siakam’s consistent performance added to the team effort as the Pacers closed out each quarter strongly against the Knicks.
The Knicks were led by Jalen Brunson, who scored 31 points, but fell short as the Pacers executed better in closing moments of the game. The Pacers are now looking to clinch their first Finals appearance since 2000 in Game 5, scheduled for Thursday night in New York.
As the teams prepare for the next game, all eyes will be on Haliburton and the Pacers’ strategy to maintain their momentum and finish the series.
