Jets Activate Tight End Kenny Yeboah, Make Several Roster Moves Ahead of Texans Game
The New York Jets have made several significant roster moves in preparation for their upcoming game against the Houston Texans. One of the key moves involves the activation of tight end Kenny Yeboah from the Reserve/Injured list. Yeboah, who has been dealing with an abdominal injury, was designated for return and is now set to join the 53-man roster.
In conjunction with Yeboah’s activation, the Jets released tight end Anthony Firkser, who had appeared in four games for the team, primarily contributing on special teams. This move adjusts the team’s tight end depth and prepares them for the upcoming matchup.
Additionally, the Jets made other roster adjustments. Defensive tackle Leki Fotu and receiver Allen Lazard were placed on injured reserve due to a knee injury and a chest injury, respectively. To address these absences, the team signed kicker Riley Patterson and offensive lineman Alec Lindstrom from the practice squad. Patterson will take over kicking duties with Greg Zuerlein now on injured reserve. Defensive backs Kendall Sheffield and Jarius Monroe were also elevated from the practice squad to the gameday roster.
Furthermore, the Jets signed defensive end Takk McKinley to the practice squad, adding depth to their defensive line. These moves reflect the team’s efforts to optimize their roster for the upcoming game against the Texans).
