Katie Price Arrested After Missing Bankruptcy Court Hearing

Katie Price, the former glamour model, found herself in hot water after getting arrested at Heathrow Airport. The incident happened at 19:45 BST when she returned to the UK. This arrest was linked to her failure to show up at a court hearing regarding her bankruptcy issues.

An arrest warrant had been issued for the 46-year-old after she missed a court date on July 30. The Metropolitan Police confirmed her detention, and shortly after, she was bailed to appear at the Royal Courts of Justice.

Photos from the airport showed Katie with bandages around her face, looking a bit frazzled. She was declared bankrupt for the first time in November 2019 and then again in March this year due to an unpaid tax bill over £750,000.

During a February hearing, she was ordered to hand over 40% of her earnings from her OnlyFans account for the next three years as part of her bankruptcy deal. Judge Catherine Burton had warned her that failure to attend upcoming hearings could lead to an arrest.

When Katie appeared in court on Friday, Judge Daniel Schaffer made it clear that she must be present for a follow-up hearing scheduled for August 27. He stressed, “no ifs or buts,” and warned that traveling abroad or missing the court date would lead to serious consequences.

Katie, who previously claimed she was working on a documentary about corrective surgeries while missing her court date, expressed her intention to be present for the next hearing. She even requested to attend via Zoom but was told she’d have to be physically present.

She also revealed her struggle to find legal representation, citing high legal fees. Katie stated, “I can’t get legal aid because I earn. I don’t know what to do on this.” Her situation continues to make headlines as she navigates her financial troubles.
