Millonarios Vs Cardenales Football Match

Bogotá, Colombia – Millonarios F.C. begins its playoff journey in the Colombian football league on May 31, 2025, as they visit Independiente Santa Fe in the opening match of Group B. The game will take place at the Nemesio Camacho El Campín Stadium.

The team, led by coach David González, enters the semifinals armed with the advantage of an invisible point awarded by Dimayor for finishing in the top two of the regular season standings. Millonarios, known as the ‘Embajadores’, aims to start strong against their opponents, having remained unbeaten for the last ten matches.

For this crucial encounter, González has announced a squad of 18 players, with one notable absence. Santiago Giordana will not participate, following a prior match against Boyacá Chicó.

Goalkeeper Álvaro Montero, despite being handed a two-match suspension due to incidents during a previous game in Palogrande, is included in the roster. Montero’s inclusion is possible as Millonarios plans to appeal under Article 21 of the Unique Disciplinary Code of the Colombian Football Federation.

The complete roster features Montero and Iván Arboleda as goalkeepers, alongside defenders Jorge Arias, Helibelton Palacios, Danovis Banguero, Sergio Mosquera, Andrés Llinás, and Delvin Alfonzo. The midfield includes Nicolás Arévalo, Daniel Cataño, Daniel Ruiz, Dewar Victoria, and Stiven Vega. Upfront, the team boasts talents like Radamel Falcao, Neyser Villarreal, Jader Valencia, Jhon Córdoba, and Luis Marimón.

As they step onto the field, Millonarios seeks to make a statement in the playoffs and capitalize on their recent strong performance.
