Namibia Stuns Tunisia In Shock Victory At 2023 Africa Cup Of Nations

Namibia caused a major upset at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations with a shock victory over Tunisia on Tuesday. The Brave Warriors, ranked 115th in the world, had previously failed to win any of their nine Afcon matches but managed to secure a well-deserved win in Korhogo.

The only goal of the match came in the 88th minute when Deon Hotto scored a header from Bethuel Muzeu’s cross. Prior to the goal, Peter Shalulile had his effort cleared off the line, but Hotto was able to pounce and secure the win for Namibia.

Tunisia, the 2004 champions, are ranked 87 places above Namibia in the FIFA standings. The victory marks a significant moment for Namibian football as they break their winless streak in Afcon matches.
