Nba Duos Popovich Duncan Curry Kerr

OAKLAND, Calif. — In a recent episode of “The TK Show,” Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr reflected on his strong bond with star player Stephen Curry. Kerr noted that their relationship mirrors the legendary partnership between former San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich and the esteemed big man Tim Duncan.

“Very similar, very similar,” Kerr told host Tim Kawakami. He emphasized that if NBA coaches were asked to choose their ideal players, Curry and Duncan would top the list for many. “If you had to put down names who every coach who ever coached in the NBA would want to partner with, Steph and Tim would maybe be the first two guys,” he added.

Kerr recalled his time playing for the Spurs, where he observed the dynamic between Popovich and Duncan closely. “It was very collaborative, it was genuine love and friendship. A lot of humor and joy, it’s hard to find that,” he said. He believes that the same collaborative spirit exists between him and Curry.

Meanwhile, New York Knicks insider Ian Begley reported that the Knicks’ starting lineup has the worst plus-minus rating among all postseason teams, signaling a need for improvement as they move deeper into the playoffs.

Additionally, Denver Nuggets governor Josh Kroenke praised David Adelman’s communication skills, stating he would be involved in trades and free agency decisions, highlighting an active offseason for the franchise.

In other NBA news, Oklahoma City Thunder coach Mark Daigneault expressed pride in star player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s growth, calling him a “father, a husband, a leader” during an MVP acceptance speech.

As the NBA prepares for the upcoming draft, young talent is emerging, such as 18-year-old French center Joan Beringer, who transitioned from soccer to basketball just three years ago. Beringer has now declared for the 2025 NBA Draft, showcasing his potential after experiencing a significant growth spurt.
