NHL 2024-25 Season Schedule Unveiled with Exciting Matchups and Events

The NHL has officially announced the complete schedule for the 2024-25 season, unveiling a series of exciting matchups and events for hockey fans worldwide. The highly anticipated season will kick off with the Buffalo Sabres and New Jersey Devils facing off in Prague, Czechia on Oct. 4 and 5 as part of the NHL Global Series.

Opening Night on Oct. 8 will feature a tripleheader of games, with the reigning Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers raising their championship banner before taking on the Boston Bruins at Amerant Bank Arena. Other games on the same night include the St. Louis Blues visiting the Seattle Kraken and the Utah Hockey Club playing their inaugural NHL regular-season game against the Chicago Blackhawks.

One of the season’s highlights includes the 4 Nations Face-Off from Feb. 10-21, 2025, where top players from the United States, Canada, Sweden, and Finland will compete in a round-robin tournament, replacing the traditional All-Star Game festivities.

A key matchup to look forward to is the Winter Classic on Dec. 31, featuring a rematch between the St. Louis Blues and the Chicago Blackhawks at Wrigley Field. Additionally, the Columbus Blue Jackets will host the Detroit Red Wings in the Stadium Series at Ohio Stadium on March 1.

Rematches from the previous season will see the Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers square off twice, with the Oilers hosting the Panthers on Dec. 16, and Florida returning the favor on Feb. 27.

The partnership between the NHL and Prime Video will kick off on Oct. 14 with the Montreal Canadiens facing the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first edition of Prime Monday Night Hockey. Broadcast coverage will be provided by ESPN, TNT Sports, Sportsnet, Prime Video, and TVA Sports throughout the season.

With a total of 1,312 regular-season games scheduled, the season will conclude on April 17, promising an action-packed and thrilling hockey experience for fans across the globe.
