Nickelback Rocks 56th Edition Of Quebec City Summer Festival

The opening night of the 56th edition of the Quebec City Summer Festival set the stage on fire as the iconic rock band Nickelback took the plains of Abraham by storm on Thursday.

Performing on the main stage, equipped with spectacular giant screens, Nickelback delivered an unforgettable experience to their fans, fully embracing their identity as the ‘underdog of rock’.

The show began with a police chase video, setting the tone for an electrifying performance, which featured hit songs like ‘San Quentin,’ ‘Savin’ Me,’ and ‘Far Away,’ accompanied by a fiery stage setup of towering columns and deafening pyrotechnics.

Chad Kroeger, the lead singer and guitarist, led the band masterfully, sharing the spotlight with his bandmate Ryan Peake, who took on the vocal duties for ‘Worthy to Say.’ Kroeger even attempted a few words in French, charming the audience with his efforts.

As a special treat, two guests made appearances during the show: Max Kerman from Arkells and the singer-songwriter Talk. They lent their voices to Nickelback’s chart-topping hits, including ‘Hero,’ ‘Rockstar,’ and ‘Photograph,’ adding an extra layer of excitement to the evening.

The Quebec City Summer Festival kicked off in style with Nickelback headlining the opening night, promising a lineup of thrilling performances to come throughout the event.
