Noni Madueke has expressed his satisfaction with the on-field partnership he has developed with Cole Palmer at Chelsea. The duo, who have been teammates since their early years in the England Under-16 team, have demonstrated exceptional chemistry this season.

Madueke and Palmer, who progressed through the England age groups together, were key contributors in the Under-21 Euros victory last year. Since joining Chelsea in 2023, they have made a significant impact, registering a combined total of four goals and four assists in their first five Premier League matches.

Although Palmer is currently sidelined with a minor injury, Madueke is keen to continue their successful collaboration. “We’ve been playing with each other for eight years now, in the exact same positions that we are playing now,” said Madueke, highlighting the depth of their understanding both on and off the pitch.

Madueke praised Palmer’s capabilities, stating, “It’s easy to play with someone like that because he knows what I like to do and I know what he likes to do. We have a good chemistry, and long may it continue.”

The pair’s strong start to the season includes impressive individual performances, with Madueke shining after scoring a hat-trick in a recent match against Wolves, all assisted by Palmer. His standout form has also earned him a call-up to the England senior squad, although the two will not be able to team up on the international stage this time.

Reflecting on his career thus far, Madueke received the call-up from Lee Carsley while preparing for Chelsea’s Europa Conference League fixture. Expressing his enthusiasm, he remarked, “I’m happy I got the call-up and am just eager to show everyone what I can do.”

Under the guidance of Chelsea’s new manager Enzo Maresca, Madueke noted that the atmosphere has been positive despite some challenges. “What you guys see on the outside is definitely slightly exaggerated. In the building, it’s a great place to be,” he said.
