Former Ohio State standout Cade Stover is gearing up for the upcoming NFL Draft as he prepares to take the next step in his football career. Stover, who transitioned from linebacker to tight end during his college years, is regarded as one of the top prospects at his position entering the draft.
The 23-year-old, hailing from Mansfield, Ohio, has impressed scouts with his versatility and skill set. With a background in both football and basketball, Stover brings a unique perspective to the game that sets him apart.
Stover recently engaged in training sessions with New York Giants‘ tight end Darren Waller, a Pro Bowler and mentor to the young tight end prospect. Their collaboration, supported by Icy Hot, has provided Stover with valuable insights and advice as he navigates the transition to the NFL.
During the workouts, Waller shared tips on route running and the mental aspect of the game, drawing from his own experiences in the league. Stover, along with Ja’Tavion Sanders of the Texas Longhorns, benefitted from Waller’s guidance on and off the field.
Stover, drawing inspiration from his father’s farm in Ohio, views football as a means to support his family and honor his roots. His work ethic and dedication have been shaped by the values instilled during his upbringing, setting him on a path towards success in the NFL.
As Stover prepares for his rookie season, he remains focused on making an impact and seizing opportunities that come his way. With a determination to excel, Stover aims to carve out a significant role for himself in the NFL, building on the foundation laid during his college career.
