Pakistan, South Africa, And Zimbabwe Secure Spots In Super Six Of U19 Cricket World Cup

Pakistan, South Africa, and Zimbabwe have successfully secured their spots in the Super Six stage of the U19 Cricket World Cup.

In a dominant performance, Pakistan emerged victorious with a resounding 10-wicket win over New Zealand in their match held in East London. Opting to bat first, New Zealand struggled against the fierce bowling attack of Pakistan’s Ubaid Shah, who claimed four wickets and dismantled their top order. New Zealand were eventually bowled out for 140. In response, Pakistan’s opening duo of Shamyl Hossain and Shahzaib Khan powered their team to victory, with Shahzaib leading the run-scoring effort.

Meanwhile, South Africa overcame a shaky performance with the ball to defeat Scotland by seven wickets in a match played at Potchefstroom. Scotland had set a competitive target of 270 runs, with skipper Owen Gould scoring an impressive 97. However, South Africa’s Steve Stolk stole the show with a blistering knock of 86 off just 37 balls, propelling his team to victory in just 27 overs.

Finally, Zimbabwe secured their place in the Super Six stage by comfortably defeating Namibia by eight wickets in a match held in Johanesburg. Zimbabwean bowler Newman Nyamhuri was the standout performer, claiming four wickets for just 21 runs. Namibia put up a fight with Hanro Badenhorst’s unbeaten 39, but Zimbabwe easily chased down the modest target.

These victories have placed Pakistan, South Africa, and Zimbabwe at the top of their respective groups, solidifying their spots in the upcoming Super Six stage of the U19 Cricket World Cup.
