The Philadelphia 76ers have made a significant addition to their roster by drafting talented guard Jared McCain out of Duke University.

McCain, known for his sharp-shooting skills and impressive rebounding ability, made a name for himself during his freshman season at Duke, where he stood out as a top performer.

Standing at 6’3 McCain has drawn comparisons to NBA guard Immanuel Quickley for his reliable shooting and crafty playmaking on the court.

During his time at Duke, McCain showcased his versatility by excelling in catch-and-shoot situations, as well as demonstrating his proficiency in operating Duke’s pick-and-roll plays.

His standout performances during the NCAA Tournament helped lead Duke to the Elite Eight, where he made history as the first freshman at the university to achieve two 30-point games in the tournament.

In a Round of 32 game against James Madison, McCain set a new Duke freshman tournament record by sinking 8 out of 11 three-point attempts, solidifying his reputation as a sharpshooter.

With an impressive 41.4% shooting rate from beyond the arc and a knack for grabbing rebounds, McCain has the potential to make a significant impact on the Philadelphia 76ers’ roster.

His skills could see him thriving in a role similar to Quickley’s transition from shooting guard to point guard, where he found success with the Toronto Raptors.
