Powerball Jackpot Reset to $20 Million After Kentucky Win

BALTIMORE, Maryland — The Powerball jackpot has reset to an estimated $20 million following a significant win in Kentucky, where a single ticket matched all six numbers on April 26, 2025. The winning numbers for the last drawing were 26, 43, 51, 56, 60, with a Powerball number of 24, and a Power Play multiplier of 4x.
According to Powerball officials, a ticket sold in Kentucky won a total of $168 million, providing the winner with an option for a one-time cash payout of $77.6 million. The next drawing is scheduled for Monday, April 30, at 11 p.m. EDT.
In Maryland, players interested in claiming winnings can do so at various Lottery retailers, which will cash prizes up to $600 directly. For amounts exceeding $600, winners must either claim their prize by mail or visit the Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.
Maryland Lottery requirements state that winners must sign their winning ticket and complete a claim form. They are also required to submit a photocopy of a valid government-issued ID and proof of their Social Security number or Federal Tax ID.
The Maryland Lottery’s headquarters, located at 1800 Washington Boulevard, handles all prize amounts, including those over $5,000. Claims are processed by appointment only, available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Individuals must be at least 21 years old to enter a Maryland casino, where winning tickets can also be redeemed up to $25,000, though casinos cannot cash prizes over $600 for non-residents.
Powerball drawings occur three times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, with each ticket priced at $2. Players can add the Power Play option for an additional dollar, giving them a chance to multiply their winnings.
Lottery experts caution players that the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot remain low, at approximately 1 in 292.2 million.
