HOUSTON, Texas — The Houston Rockets secured their fifth consecutive win on Wednesday night, defeating the Denver Nuggets 128-108 in a dominant performance at Toyota Center. Jalen Green led the charge with 34 points, including six three-pointers, while Alperen Sengun contributed 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists.

Green, who shot 10-for-16 from the field, has been on a scoring tear, averaging 32 points over his last six games. Sengun’s all-around performance highlighted his growing impact as a key playmaker for the Rockets. “We’re starting to see what this team can do when we play together,” Green said after the game. “It’s exciting to be part of this momentum.”

Fred VanVleet added 16 points and 8 assists, while rookie Cam Whitmore continued to shine off the bench with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Whitmore has scored in double figures in five of his last seven games, providing a consistent spark for Houston. “Cam’s energy and scoring ability have been huge for us,” Rockets head coach Ime Udoka said. “He’s growing into his role every game.”

Defensively, Amen Thompson made his presence felt with 11 points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 blocks. The Rockets held the Nuggets, who were without stars Nikola Jokic and Aaron Gordon, to 108 points despite strong performances from Jamal Murray and Christian Braun, who each scored 22 points.

Houston improved to 27-12 on the season, maintaining a two-game lead over the Memphis Grizzlies for second place in the Western Conference. The Rockets now turn their attention to a challenging back-to-back matchup against the Sacramento Kings on Thursday night.
