Shebelieves Cup 2025 Soccer Tournament

HOUSTON, Texas — The highly anticipated 2025 SheBelieves Cup kicks off today, February 20, showcasing the talent of the world’s top-ranked U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT) against Japan, Australia, and Colombia. The tournament, presented by Visa, runs through February 26, reverting to its traditional six-game, three-matchday format following last year’s adjustments for the Olympics.

The opening match features Japan, ranked eighth in FIFA Women’s World Rankings, taking on Australia, ranked fifteenth, at Shell Energy Stadium at 5 p.m. ET. The U.S., ranked number one, will face Colombia at 8 p.m. ET in what promises to be an action-packed matchup.

Fans can watch every U.S. match on TBS, Max, Universo, and Peacock, with Spanish-language coverage also available on Universo and Peacock. Live audio broadcasts for the USWNT’s games will be provided by Westwood One Sports in English and Fútbol de Primera in Spanish.

The tournament format awards three points for a victory and one point for a tie, with the first tiebreaker being goal difference. Other criteria include the total number of goals scored and head-to-head results, if required.

Tickets for all matches are available online, and fans are encouraged to check schedules to catch the live action, including throughout social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram by following @USWNT.

The tournament continues in Glendale, Arizona, on February 23, featuring a matchup between Colombia and Japan at 2 p.m. ET, followed by the U.S. against Australia at 5 p.m. ET at State Farm Stadium. The final day of competition wraps up at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, California, on February 26, where fans can witness Australia playing Colombia at 7:30 p.m. ET, before the U.S. meets Japan in a climactic showdown at 10:30 p.m. ET.

The U.S. has entered the tournament as defending champions and opened with a 2-0 victory over Colombia, with goals from Catarina Macario and Ally Sentnor. With Australia coming off a heavy 4-0 loss to Japan, the USWNT is seen as a strong favorite.

As the competition unfolds, expectations are high for exciting matches and close contests as teams vie for the title of SheBelieves Cup champion.
