Shehzada Dhami Responds to Allegations Amid ‘Bigg Boss 18’ Controversy
In the latest season of ‘Bigg Boss 18‘, television actor Shehzada Dhami has been making headlines after discussing his controversial exit from the popular TV show ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai‘. On the reality show, Dhami accused the show’s producers of humiliating him during his tenure as the lead actor.
Shehzada Dhami claimed that while he was working as an advocate on the show, he faced unprofessional behavior from the production team. He alleged that the show’s director-producer, Rajan Shahi, publicly humiliated him in front of around 150 cast and crew members. “I was the lead actor, working 15-hour shifts for six months without breaks. To my surprise, I was given leave without notice and summoned for a meeting where the producer berated me publicly,” Dhami stated.
Dhami recounted an incident regarding a disagreement over his costume, where he wore bracelets as requested by the director. However, the creative head later challenged this decision, leading Dhami to remove the accessories. When noticed by the director, Dhami faced criticism once more, which he described as “further shouting and aggression.”
The actor also mentioned interactions with a senior female artist, which were misinterpreted by some on set. Dhami described an episode where the artist held his hand, causing a delay in returning to his duties, leading to further tension with the director.
Upon his introduction by host Salman Khan on ‘Bigg Boss 18’, Dhami faced questions regarding his alleged attitude issues. A video played during the show highlighted his response to such claims, where Dhami asserted, “If such a big storm in my life couldn’t affect me, then nothing could break me.”
Khan advised Dhami to remain humble, noting, “Just because your name is Shehzada, you can’t behave like a prince.” The actor, however, insisted on his humility, sharing, “All that has been said about my attitude, if it happened to someone else, they might have not handled it.”
In contrast, fellow contestant Avinash Mishra defended the production house, suggesting that it was professional and hinting that Dhami might have been at fault. Salman Khan suggested Shehzada Dhami take this incident as a learning opportunity to reflect on its implications and his future actions.
