During a podcast called ‘The Pivot’ last December, Owens admitted that he didn’t know who Biles was when they started dating on a dating app back in 2020. At that time, he was with the Houston Texans and Biles was still establishing her name.

His comments sparked controversy, especially when he claimed to be “the catch” in the relationship. Biles has noted her frustration with the negativity directed toward Owens and expressed that the comments have been taken out of context.

She laughed when recalling being beside Owens as he spoke on the podcast, stating that his remarks were true because he is indeed a great guy. Biles also mentioned that while the public scrutiny comes with being in the spotlight, there is a limit to how far people should go when criticizing her husband.
