South Africans Divided Over Pitso Mosimane Contract Conundrum

South Africans are currently divided over the ongoing legal battle between Mamelodi Sundowns and former coach Pitso Mosimane, following his sudden departure from the Premier Soccer League defending champions.

In 2020, Sundowns took the matter to a Johannesburg court, alleging that Mosimane breached his contract after leaving the club just four months into a four-year deal.

Mosimane made the decision to join Egyptian giants Al Ahly, who had approached him to take charge of their team, leaving Masandawana fans and officials stunned by his departure.

While some fans are expressing discontent over Sundowns’ pursuit for compensation, arguing that Mosimane should not be held accountable for leaving, others believe that the esteemed coach, who has previously been linked to Kaizer Chiefs, should settle his dues as a matter of principle.
