Nashville Christian’s standout quarterback, whose identity our sources have yet to confirm, has announced his decision to decommit from the University of Georgia‘s 2026 recruiting class. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound athlete was considered the No. 3 quarterback in the country, according to 247Sports, and had originally chosen Georgia over 35 other offers in March.

In a statement on his personal X.com account, the quarterback expressed his gratitude towards the University of Georgia. “I am especially thankful to the coaches at Georgia for their belief in me and for treating me and my family with so much love and support from day one,” he stated. The young athlete explained that he felt the need to explore his options further to ensure the “best, most informed decision” for his future. “My focus now is taking care of business during the rest of our high school season and being a great teammate and leader,” he added.

The decommitment comes at a significant time, as he had recently visited several universities during the summer, including the University of Southern California (USC) and attended a game at the Gamecocks. The University of Georgia remains in contention for his final selection, with the player emphasizing his continued admiration for the program.

The On3 Industry ranks him as Tennessee’s number one recruit and eighth overall prospect. His current performance includes a completion rate of 68 percent, amassing 1,624 yards and 18 touchdowns against three interceptions, along with rushing for 385 yards and 11 touchdowns over seven games.

The decommitted prospect is the second player to step away from Georgia’s 2026 class, following another key recruit from Chaminade-Madonna Prep in Hollywood, Florida. With this development, Georgia’s search for another potential quarterback recruit intensifies as they maintain just two remaining commitments in the class.
