Rome, Italy – Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas shared a positive update on his girlfriend, Spanish athlete Paula Badosa, as she recuperates from a recent injury that forced her to withdraw from the Rome Open. Badosa, 27, had to step back after suffering an injury during her match at the Miami Open against Clara Tauson.

In a press conference, Tsitsipas, who has advanced to the third round of the Rome Open after defeating France’s Alexandre Muller, stated that Badosa is improving. “I feel like currently, she’s very close to 100 percent but not there yet,” he said.

Badosa’s injury not only sidelined her from the Rome Open but also from the Madrid Open. Tsitsipas emphasized the importance of her recovery, expressing his happiness that she is learning to listen to her body’s needs. “Only she knows what her limits are,” Tsitsipas added, reflecting on Badosa’s journey back to full health.

Tsitsipas noted that Badosa’s previous experiences have taught her valuable lessons about pacing herself and managing her recovery. “She was very naïve and stubborn when it first happened about two years ago,” he recalled. “I remember telling her she’s rushing and doing things too fast.”

With Tsitsipas competing strongly and Badosa focused on her health, fans are eager to see both athletes return to peak performance on the court.
