Throne and Liberty Introduces Comprehensive Fishing System
The highly anticipated Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) “Throne and Liberty” has introduced an intricate fishing system as part of its diverse life skills offerings. This feature provides players with an alternative to combat, focusing instead on the tranquil activity of fishing within the game’s expansive world.
In “Throne and Liberty,” players can engage in fishing by first obtaining a fishing rod and bait. The beginner rod, known as the Bamboo Fishing Rod, is accessible through various means within the game. Players can acquire this rod by spending 300 Contract Coins at the Contract Coin Merchant. However, a simpler and cost-effective route is available. By completing the Adventures of the Expedition quest given by NPC Adventure Pro Percy, players can obtain the Bamboo Fishing Rod without expending any coins. This quest involves visiting the Amitoi House and engaging in expeditions, providing a fruitful way to access fishing gear early.
Once equipped with a fishing rod, players must secure bait to begin their fishing endeavors. Paste Bait is the most readily available option, obtainable daily from the Contract Coin Merchant. The versatility of rods and baits dictates success in catching different fish, with selections visible in the character menu.
The fishing system in “Throne and Liberty” requires players to cast their line in coastal regions, awaiting a bite that triggers a stamina-based mini-game. Successful fishing hinges on strategic pulling against the fish’s movements to exhaust its stamina without depleting the player’s own stamina. The dynamic of this feature adds a layer of strategy and engagement to the seemingly calm activity.
As players invest time into fishing, progression is marked by experience gain and skill leveling. This advancement unlocks the ability to catch increasingly rare and challenging fish, which can be utilized in the game’s cooking system. Various recipes allow cooked fish to provide valuable buffs, potentially influencing the outcome of challenging battles.
“Throne and Liberty,” developed by NCSoft and published in collaboration with Amazon Games, promises a multifaceted gaming experience set to launch on October 1, 2024. The game, powered by Unreal Engine 4 and 5, not only offers expansive adventures but also encourages exploration of non-combat skills, such as fishing, that enhance the overall player experience.
