Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade 2024

On Saturday, the East Village in Manhattan was alive with festive spirit as the beloved Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade made its return. The event attracted numerous dog enthusiasts who gathered along Avenue A, from 13th Street to 7th Street, to witness the creative canine costumes on display.

The annual parade, which has become a cherished tradition in the community, saw a diverse array of dogs parading through Tompkins Square Park. Among the highlights was a “Best in Show” contest, where judges assessed the ingenuity of the participants’ outfits.

Toni Yates provided coverage on the event, noting the involvement of therapy dogs from the Clifton School District. These dogs not only assist with educational programs but also contribute to community activities such as the parade.
