Vera Wang Shares Her Minimalist Beauty Regimen and Lifestyle
Renowned bridal gown designer Vera Wang revealed her simple approach to beauty and lifestyle at the recent DKMS gala. Speaking to Page Six Style, Wang, who candidly stated she is “75-and-a-quarter” years old, emphasized her minimalist skin-care routine and balanced outlook on health.
“I’m pretty minimal, I have to say,” Wang shared when asked about her skincare regime. “Maybe it’s because I’m Asian, but I’ve always been pretty minimal.” Wang elaborated that her routine does not include the extensive 18-step skincare routines that have become popular in recent years. “Soap, some cleanser, but I don’t do 18 steps! It’s never been a part of my regime,” she added.
Beyond skincare, Wang maintains a pragmatic view on aging and wellness. “I don’t know what 75 should feel like, I don’t feel like I did when I was 20,” she remarked. “I’m sort of very balanced in terms of my health, hopefully,” she continued, highlighting the importance of both mental and physical health.
Although she has gained considerable attention on social media for her youthful appearance and bikini photos, Wang prioritizes sleep for well-being. “Minimum, eight (hours a night). I don’t feel healthy unless I get eight,” she explained, contradicting the common trend among celebrities who claim to thrive on minimal sleep.
In addition to rest, Wang’s diet is notably relaxed. She expressed enjoyment for occasional fast food, doughnuts, and vodka, which she also produces through her own line. “I have my own vodka [line] and I don’t do Dunkin’ Donuts every day, but I’m not that rigid about food period,” she stated, admitting to enjoying Big Macs at the office from time to time.
At the DKMS gala, Wang attended with her daughters, Josephine and Cecilia. The event successfully raised $4.7 million to support global initiatives against blood cancer and honored Wang for her contributions.
