Watford Goalkeeper Bachmann Joins Soccer Aid Legends For Charity Event

Watford goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann had a star-studded experience at the recent Soccer Aid charity event in London, rubbing shoulders with the likes of pop star Robbie Williams, sprinter Usain Bolt, and football legends such as David Seaman. The event, which took place at Chelsea‘s Stamford Bridge stadium, culminated in a 6-3 victory for Team England over the Rest of the World.

During the event, Bachmann, alongside David Seaman, provided coaching for the goalkeepers participating in the match. The star-studded game featured renowned footballers including Alessandro Del Pierro, Eden Hazard, and Jill Scott, as well as other notable personalities like David James and Mo Farah.

The England squad, managed by Harry Redknapp and Frank Lampard, was based at Champney’s in Tring, where Bachmann played a role in preparing players like David James and comedian Paddy McGuinness, who stepped into the goalkeeper position during the game. The victory marked England’s first win in six years at Soccer Aid.

Among the memorable moments of the event was former Lioness Ellen White becoming the first woman to score at Soccer Aid, adding to the historic nature of the charity match. The event raised an impressive £15 million for Unicef, bringing the total funds generated by Soccer Aid for the charity to over £106 million since its inception in 2006.
