Giants Jermaine Eluemunor Action Game

New York, NY – The New York Giants offense seems to be finding its rhythm with rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart leading the attack. However, trade rumors surrounding right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor have sparked confusion among fans and analysts alike.

Bradley Locker of Pro Football Focus has named Eluemunor as a possible trade candidate ahead of the NFL’s upcoming trade deadline on November 4. This suggestion has raised eyebrows given Eluemunor’s crucial role on the offensive line, especially next to left tackle Andrew Thomas, both of whom have been instrumental in Dart’s development this season.

Eluemunor, 30, has established himself as a dependable pass protector during his tenure with the Giants. Through Week 6, he has earned a pass-blocking grade of over 71.0 in each of his two seasons, allowing only six sacks on 760 opportunities. His versatility in playing both left tackle and right guard makes him an appealing asset for any team.

Despite Eluemunor’s potential trade value, the Giants are keen on keeping him to ensure Dart’s safety and development. Locker noted that trading Eluemunor could hinder the chemistry built on the offensive line and jeopardize Dart’s progress.

While rookie Marcus Mbow is available as a backup, he and James Hudson III are currently the swing tackles. Filling a critical spot like Eluemunor’s on the offensive line could prove difficult for the Giants. Maintaining the successful tackle duo of Eluemunor and Thomas is essential as the team seeks more wins on the field.

With the trade deadline quickly approaching, the Giants face pressure to maximize their present assets rather than trading for future potential. For now, the focus remains on strengthening the team’s chances while keeping Jaxson Dart upright.
