The View Abc Streaming Weekend Episodes

NEW YORK, N.Y. — ABC‘s long-running daytime talk show “The View” is expanding its reach with a new weekend streaming program titled “The Weekend View.” The 30-minute episodes will premiere on ABC News Live starting Jan. 11, 2025, at 7:30 a.m. Saturdays, offering fans an extended look at the show’s popular “Hot Topics” segment and exclusive content from its companion podcast, “Behind the Table.”

The new format aims to cater to viewers who prefer streaming platforms, marking a strategic move by ABC to adapt to changing media consumption habits. “It’s an opportunity for us to extend the conversation, give viewers more of what they love from the connection they feel for the show,” said Karin Gilford, senior vice president of Digital Media at ABC News Group and Disney Entertainment Networks.

“The Weekend View” will feature the show’s Friday panel, including moderator Joy Behar and co-hosts Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Ana Navarro. Unlike the weekday version, the weekend episodes will focus less on politics and more on pop culture, aligning with the lighter tone of ABC News Live’s weekend programming.

Executive producer Brian Teta emphasized the show’s success in reaching audiences across multiple platforms. “In addition to having its most-watched linear season in four years, ‘The View’ is finding success meeting viewers wherever they get their content, from podcasts to YouTube, and now with new exclusive streaming content for the weekend on ABC News Live,” he said.

RoC Skincare has signed on as the exclusive sponsor of “The Weekend View,” marking the first integrated brand sponsorship for ABC News Live. “I think that’s even super innovative, figuring out ways to bring advertisers along with us that are excited about the content,” Gilford added.

The show will be available on Disney+, Hulu, YouTube, ABCNews.com, and the ABC News and ABC News Live apps, with potential expansion to other platforms in the future. ABC is also exploring strategies for video-on-demand (VOD) distribution and social media content to further engage audiences.

“The Weekend View” joins other ABC News Live programming, including “GMA Life,” “Prime with Linsey Davis,” and “ABC News Live Reports,” as part of the network’s efforts to diversify its offerings and meet viewers where they are.
